NALBARI, Aug 9 - The Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Nalbari has received the �Best Krishi Vigyan Kendra Award, 2014, (Zone-III), conferred by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, recently.

The centre is affiliated to Assam Agricultural University in Jorhat. The award was received by Dr Mridul Deka, Programme Coordinator of the centre from the Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh in the national conference of Krishi Vigyan Kendras held in Patna.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, several other ministers, Governor and Chief Minister of Bihar and Director General of ICAR, New Delhi, also attended the event.

The award comprises one citation and a cheque of Rs 4 lakh.
