GUWAHATI, March 23 � Nagaon earned three points against Charaideo�s one with a 75-run first innings lead in the semifinal round robin league of the senior inter district cricket tournament for the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy.
The three-day match at the Barsapara stadium here ended in a draw. In reply to Charaideo�s first innings total of 287, Nagaon, resuming at the overnight total of 223 for three, scored 362 all out.
Charaideo were 53 for three when the stumps were finally drawn.
After the round robin league among four teams, Guwahati and Dibrugarh are the other teams, top two teams will qualify for the final.
Overnight unbeaten batsman Hokaito Zhimomi completed his century (112) today while other unbeaten batsman Amit Sinha scored 71. The lower order, however, could not contribute much. Charaideo medium pacers Mujibur Ali and Ripunjay Phukan took four and three wickets respectively while Sanjib Dutta bagged two.
Zhimomi faced 195 balls staying 254 minutes at the crease for his 112.
