NAGAON, Dec 11 - A number of dignitaries from the field of literature and politics will grace the inaugural function of the Nagaon Book Fair, which starts tomorrow. The function will be chaired by Nagaon MLA Rupak Sarma. Writers Harekrishna Deka and Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury, Union Minister Rajen Gohain and State Minister Keshab Mahanta, former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta and others will also grace the inaugural function. A souvenir also will be released tomorrow. The book fair is slated to conclude on December 20.
A seminar in memory of humour writer Mahesh Ch Devagoswami to mark his birth anniversary will also be held. Besides this, a number of seminars on current topics, face to face interactions with writers and cultural functions will also be held.
Prominent persons like the Executive Editor of Dainik Asam Munin Bayan, critic Prabhat Bora, writer Idrish Ali, Yeshe Dorje Thongsi, Dr Taburam Taid, Dr Bibhash Choudhury, Sibananda Kakoti, film personalities Jatin Bora, Pabitra Margherita, Mukut Bhuyan, Sapunti Bordoloi, Gautam Bora, Arup Manna and others will grace different functions organised during the book fair.
