NAGAON, March 21 � The administration of Nagaon Sadar subdivision is gearing up for the ensuing Assembly election to seven LACs of the subdivision � Raha, Dhing, Batadrava, Rupahihat, Nagaon, Barhampur and Samaguri.
The first phase of training of the polling officials, which started on March 16, will end on March 23. The second phase of training for the April 11 election will be held on March 30, 31 and April 1.
Addressing the polling officials, the Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Dr M Angamuthu appealed to all polling officials to discharge their duties with sincerity and honesty. He also warned that the administration will not tolerate any slack during poll duty.
About 1,200 polling officials are attending the training programme.
