Nagaland legislators to meet Central leaders

DIMAPUR, Juy 25 � All the 60 members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly will meet Central leaders in Delhi on August 7 and 8 to discuss vital issues pertaining to the Naga political issue.

This was resolved by the Joint Legislators Forum (JLF) on the Naga political problem, informed Speaker and JLF convenor Kiyanilie Peseyie in a communiqu� today.

�The Joint Legislators Forum on Naga political issue of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly has resolved that all the 60 members will proceed to Delhi to meet VVIPs and central leaders to discuss vital issues pertaining to the Naga political issue on 7th and 8th August, 2012,� said the communiqu�.

The Speaker requested all members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly to reach New Delhi by August 6 positively and also asked them to contact the Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, if they need any other information in this regard.

It may be mentioned that the Joint Legislators Forum of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (JLF-NLA) had, in its July 19 meeting, constituted a joint team comprising members from both ruling and opposition benches in order to meet the negotiating parties of the Naga political dialogue, the Government of India and the underground groups as well as different political parties to apprise them of the �voice of the House� and also to urge upon them to expedite the ongoing peace process.
