GUWAHATI, May 26 - Dr Mousumi Baruah, 42, a practising physician in the US, died at an apartment of her parents at Bamunimaidan this evening under mysterious circumstances.
Police said that as per the version of her relatives � her mother and brother � they were sitting together at their fourth-floor residence when the deceased went up to the top floor for some reason. After some time, she was found lying in a pool of blood on the ground below.
Police said that Dr Baruah, who had come to Assam one-and-a-half months back, had been suffering from depression. The body has been sent for post-mortem. A case has been registered. Police investigation is on.
