GUWAHATI, Oct 19 - The 29th annual prize distribution meeting of the Kanak Chandra Sarma Sowarani Nyash Samity (KCSSNS) was held with a day-long programme at late Kanak Chandra Sarma�s residential premises at Baraathiya Baari Village under Janaram Chowka gaon Panchayat, Mangaldai on October 17. This was stated in a press release.
The flag was hoisted by Dandadhar Deka, Head Master, Danhee Balika Bidyapith High School. Other programmes included cleanliness drive by Pradip Chandra Deka, Bhagawat Paath by Jadab Ch Nath and smriti tarpan by Kiron Chandra Deka, retired teacher of Danhee Higher Secondary School.
In the open meeting, a discussion on the topic �Siksha Bikasot Paryaton aaru kshetriya adhyanor abashyakta�, which was inaugurated by Hangshadhar Deka, secretary, Danhee Sahitya Sabha. The open meeting was presided over by Bhuban Chandra Kalita. Retired principal (i/c) Akalu Dev Sarma, State and national awardee retired teacher Basu Dev Sarma, National awardee retired teacher Bhaba Kanta Bora and Mano Rama Devi spoke in details on the topic.
Prizes were subsequently awarded to 31 MV scholarship holders and seven LP school scholarship holders. Kulendra Sarma, chief donor and trustee sought the cooperation of the public for the development of the trust.
