Music video Kordoi Sokola released

GUWAHATI, April 18 - Abhishruti Bezbaruah is back with her 3rd exclusive single � Kordoi Sokola � for Rongali Bihu 2018. Launched in Doha, Qatar amidst the appreciative Assamese community residing there, Abhishruti fuses Mising Bihu with traditional Bihu folk giving it yet another dimension with her expertise. This was stated in a press release.

The music video has been directed by National Award winner Samujjal Kashyap. Each scene has been carefully hand painted by visual artist Sheetal Kashyap so as to bring the essence of our Mishing community in Assam. Abhishruti tries to depict the eternal love story of Jonkey�Panoi in an excerpt in the video.

Compiled by Diganta Bhaarati, who has also compiled both her previous Bihu hits namely Roi roi roti and Tok dekhi mor gaa, the music has been arranged by Rakesh Baro, Kordoi Sokola has been made with the help of local Mising musicians in Majuli.

Abhishruti along with Rakesh Baro travelled especially to Majuli to record native instruments used by the Mising community which are not seen too often nowadays. Mousumi Doley, a prominent Mishing folk singer from Majuli, helped Abhishruti through the entire audio recording process. Instruments like the Ramdhaan Gungang or Gogona played by male artists, the Dendung or the Dentuk, has been used extensively in the song and can be seen played by Abhishruti in the music video, the release added.
