GUWAHATI, May 7 � Assam girl Murchana Saharia clinched triple crown in AITA-Talent Series Tennis Championship held at Patna from April 30 to May 4, informed All Assam Tennis Association secretary Raktim Saikia in a release. Murchana won the girls U-18 singles, girls U-16 singles and doubles titles. In the same tournament, Rohan Gogoi won the boys U-16 singles title.
Murchana defeated her State mate Akansha Das 7-5, 6-1 in the U-18 singles final while in the U-16 title clash, she got the better of the same opponent 6-3, 6-3. In doubles, pairing with Akansha, Murchana beat Bihar duo Madhu Jaiswal and Malika 6-1, 6-1. Rohan trounced Ritwik Bhriguanshi of Bihar 6-2, 6-3.
