Mukhi visits Nagaon Gaushala

NAGAON, Nov 4 - Governor Jagdish Mukhi visited the Majorati-based Gopal Gaushala as the chief guest on the occasion of the Gupastami Fair on Sunday. Mukhi inaugurated the fair, besides the newly built entry gate of the Gaushala as well as the new building in the said premises. He subsequently took part in the Gau-pujan held there.

Mukhi in his speech highlighted the significance as well as the benefits percolating from rearing cattle and said that cows benefited human beings not only by providing milk, but also by providing high medicinal value cowdung and urine to the people.

State Water Resources Minister Keshab Mahanta accompanied Mukhi to the function and declared that expert veterinary doctors would visit the Gaushala three days a week.

In the aforementioned function, Jadav Saikia, Deputy Commissioner of Nagaon, SP Shankarbrata Raimedhi and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
