GUWAHATI, Sept 13 - The All Assam Unemployed Association, while extending its support to the ongoing agitation by the workers of GVK EMRI Mrityunjoy Emergency Services, said that the developments had exposed the inertia of the State health department.
In a statement, the association said that it was the Government of Assam that had signed a memorandum with GVK EMRI, and hence it cannot wash its hands off the matter.
�The GVK EMRI is giving a raw deal to the staff despite their toil in making emergency services accessible to the masses. The State government must ensure that the workers get their dues from GVK EMRI,� it said.
