GUWAHATI, Nov 30 � The Kamrup (Metro) district administration has directed the field officers of the District Food and Civil Supplies Department to keep strict vigil on the petrol pumps in the wake of the reports that some petrol pumps have been indulging to duping the customers with less amount of petrol.
The district administration has also formed teams to conduct sudden checks in the petrol pumps of the district to verify their adherence to the legal norms. Each of these teams would include an executive magistrate and officers from the Food and Civil Supplies and Legal Metrology Departments.
