TINSUKIA, March 17 - The Sodou Asom Mottock Yuba Chatra Sanmilan has announce that they would boycott the Congress party in the Assembly elections as their demand of nominating candidates from the Mottock community for Dibrugarh and Tinsukia constituencies was not fulfilled.

Declaring this, the organisation has burnt the effigies of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Anjan Dutta at Thana Chariali here on Wednesday. The Sanmilan warned that the Congress will get a fitting reply for neglecting the community in the elections as it would appeal to the people of the community not to vote for them.
