Morigaon DC�s comment on NRC irks AASU, KMSS

MORIGAON, Aug 2 - Several organisations, including All Assam Students� Union (AASU), Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) and Krisak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) have expressed serious concern following a comment passed by Deputy Commissioner of Morigaon that some foreigners� names were reportedly included in the NRC final draft in the district.

Deputy Commissioner of Morigaon, Hemen Das today said that around 39 doubtful families� were included in the recently published draft NRC . However, he did not disclose the names and addresses of the �D� voters. Meanwhile, AASU, AJYCP and KMSS demanded the authorities concerned to drop their names from the NRC immediately.
