MORIGAON, Jan 21 � The Morigaon district administration is gearing up its machinery for peaceful conduct of election of 11 members to the Morigaon Municipal Board (MMB). The polling will be held on February 9.
Addressing a press conference, Deputy Commissioner, Morigaon, Rakesh Kumar on January 20 said that as per State Election Commission guidelines, nomination papers for the polls will be accepted upto January 28. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on January30. The list of contesting candidates will be published on February 2.
Altogether, 19508 voters will exercise their franchise in the municipal poll of MMB. The polling will be held in 22 polling stations where 130 polling and presiding officers will be engaged.
