Moot court contest at High Court tomorrow

GUWAHATI, Aug 30 - A moot court competition for law students will be held on September 1 at the Gauhati High Court under the aegis of the Justice Nishitendu Chaudhury Memorial Trust.

Students of BRM Law College, NEF Law College, NERIM, National Law University and Judicial Academy, Dispur Law College, Gauhati University Law College, USTM, Tezpur Law College, JB Law College, NEHU, etc., will participate in the competition.

Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Ajit Singh will inaugurate the competition. A statement issued by the organisers said that all the sitting and retired Judges of the Gauhati High Court have been invited to attend the event and encourage the aspiring lawyers.

The best team will be awarded a running trophy plus a cash reward of Rs 10,000. The best speaker and best researcher will be awarded Rs 5,000 as cash reward and a trophy each, along with certificates.
