Mooshahary to unveil Mamoni�s bust

GUWAHATI, Dec 4 � A bust of Mamoni Raisom Goswami will be unveiled on December 9 at the late author�s residence, Ramanjali here.

The secretary of the South-East Asia Ramayana Research Centre Mrinmoyee G Sarma informed that the bust would be unveiled by Governor of Meghalaya RS Mooshahary at 3.30 pm.

It needs to be mentioned here that a statue of Mamoni Raisom Goswami was unveiled at her birthplace, Amronga on her first death anniversary on November 29.

On the same day, Mooshahary will also declare the residence of the author, converted into a museum, formally open for public usage and viewing respectively.

Ramanjali boasts of a unique collection of books and according to Mrinmoyee G Sarma, this museum is going to benefit scholars and research students.

�We hope everyone who visits the residence of Mamoni Raisom Goswami will feel inspired by the ideals of the author who had immense faith in humanity and always upheld the human values,� said Mrinmoyee.
