GUWAHATI, July 13 � Monfort School defeated Don Bosco School, Guwahati by five wickets to win the Arup Hazarika All Asam Inter School Cricket Tournament organised by City Cricket Coaching Centre.

In the 30-over final played at the Dispur playground today, put into bat, the Bosconians were bowled out for 112 in 29.2 overs and in reply Monfort hit up 116 for five in 21.2 overs.

Wachir Ahme top scored for Don Bosco with 39 while Aman Bothra contributed 24. For Monfort, Subham Singha was the most successful bowler with two scalps.

Chasing the target, Shivam Rajput made the task easy for Monfort with a 45-ball 39. Dhruba Mech was their other notable contributor with 27. Don Bosco�s Shiwang Das chipped in three wickets.

Rishiraj Bora of Don Bosco and Subham Singha of Monfort were adjudged as player of the tournament and final respectively.

Chiranjib Paul of Monfort and his team mate Ratul Dey got best batsman and bowler trophies.

Sports organiser Debajit Das was the chief guest in the closing function.
