GUWAHATI, Dec 11 - As in the past, this year, too, Mohd Rafi Smriti Sangha (MRSS) will be celebrating the 93rd birth anniversary of Mohd Rafi, doyen of Indian playback singing, on December 24.
As part of the celebrations, the Sangha is organising several singing contests on all-Northeast basis including competitions on Rafi�s songs, at the Shilpgram auditorium, Panjabari here on December 24.
The competitions include Rafi�s songs � senior group (above 15 years) and junior group (up to 15 years); Jyoti Sangeet � only junior group (up to 15 years); and songs under the music composition of Ramen Baruah � senior group (above 15 years). Interested participants can contact the Sangha office at Jilika Path opposite Shilpgram.
