Mohammedan Sporting annex Naroram Barman football title

TIHU, Aug 27 - Mohammedan Sporting Club of Kolkata annexed the 40th Naroram Barman Football Championship title defeating ASEB of Guwahati 2-1 in the final match at the Chamata Anchalik Krira Sangha�s own stadium in the presence of 10,000 spectators.

The ASEB team walked away with the Ranidhar Barman Runners-up trophy. David Phino of Mohammedan Sporting scored both the goals in the 24th and 30th minute respectively while Sagar Limbo of ASEB scored the lone goal in the 76th miniute. The final match was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

David Fino of Mohammedan Sporting Club was adjudged the best player of the final match while Majam Mil Khan walked away with the best player of the tournament trophy. The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Industry Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, Assam Football Association (AFA) president Hemendra Nath Brahma, AFA secretary Ankur Dutta, Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Pabitra Ram Khound, Nalbari SP Hemanta Kumar Bhattacharjya, Nalbari MLA Ashok Sarma, Barkhetri MLA Narayan Deka, among others.
