GUWAHATI, Nov 28 � Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving tomorrow in the city on a four-day visit to the North East region. During his visit, he will inaugurate the year-long The Assam Tribune platinum jubilee celebration at a function scheduled for 6.05 pm tomorrow at the Machkhowa Pragjyoti ITA Centre for Performing Arts Auditorium.
According to official sources, the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at 3.40 pm tomorrow. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will receive him at the airport.
Preceding the Machkhowa programme, the Prime Minister is scheduled to flag off the first train from Mendipathar in Meghalaya to Guwahati and unveil the plaque for the new railway track to Meghalaya at a function at the Maligaon Railway Stadium around 4.50 pm.
Following the Machkhowa function, the Prime Minister will meet various delegations from 7 pm onwards at the Raj Bhawan here.
On November 30, he will attend the conference of the country�s Directors General of Police between 9 am and 12 noon at the Administrative Staff College here.
The Prime Minister will then address a meeting of the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers at a function scheduled to commence from 12.15 pm on the same day at the Sarusajai National Games Stadium here.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will see the Prime Minister off at the LGBI Airport following the Sarusajai BJP meeting. During his visit to the region, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit the States of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura.
