Mock drill at FIFA U-17 WC venue

GUWAHATI, Sept 22 - The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today participated in a joint mock drill carried out at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai � venue of the forthcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup � to check the level of preparedness of various agencies in case of an emergency.

The 1st battalion NDRF played a leading role during the mock drill. RS Gill, second-in-command of the battalion, along with 55 NDRF rescuers participated in the mock drill. SDRF, Assam Police, fire service, 108 ambulance service, DDMA and FIFA officials also participated in the exercise.
