COVID-19 vaccination drive at Mizoram has begun as per information from the Director of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) of Mizoram. Mamit District Hospital is reportedly the site chosen for the purpose by the Medical officials. Dr.Vanlalfela is the first recipient of the vaccine out of the health workers. He has confirmed that his body system has not experienced any inconvenience post the inoculation.
The State Government has ensured allocation of 450 numbers of total doses in the Mamit District solely meant for the District Health Care Workers.
Senior Medical Officer and District Immunisation Officer Lalmuanawma Jongte said that as many as 124 target beneficiaries from Mamit District Hospital, Main and Sub-Centres nearby Mamit town have been shortlisted for the vaccination roll out in the state.
It is also assured that the team is prepared and well-equipped to tackle any Adverse Event Following Immunisation (AEFI).
