Mising students� body to hold four-day conference

SILAPATHAR, Nov 26 - The All Mising Students� Union is going to organised its 14th general conference with a four-day programme at BA Charu Chandra Doley Lotta at Brahmaputa College, Kherkota, Dhakuakhana, from December 3 to 6.

On the first day, the central executive meeting of the Union will be held at noon, while president of reception committee, Naba Kr Doley will open the delegation camp. The session will be inaugurated by former president of the Union, Johan Doley.

On the second day, the flags of the Union will be hosted by president of the Union, Naresh Kumbang. Homeswar Pegu, former president of the Union will pay homage to martyrs.

Raju Medok, former general secretary of the Union, will inaugurate a book fair and food festival-cum-exhibition on the occasion. Former assistant general secretary of the Union, Prasanta Kumar Bori, will inaugurate the sports and literary competition.

Chief Executive Councillor of Mising Autonomous Council, Ranoj Pegu, Advisor of the Union, Bhuban Pegu, and former president the Union, Johan Doley, will deliver speech on organisational orientation of the Union.

Parmananda Chayengia, president of Mising Bane Kebang, will give a presentation on understanding the strategic Alignment Model of ethical leadership for long-term social movement. Bhuban Pegu will give a presentation on skill upgradation programme for unemployment youths and rule of the community leaders.

On third day, discussions will be held on topics like administration of Mising Autonomous Council and responsibility of the community organisation, discussion and review of the �draft concept note� of Mising National conference, role of the Union in prevailing social believes, superstition and its reformations among the Mising community in present scenario and Right to Education Act 2009 and development of quality education at primary level in MAC area.

Dr Samujjal Kr Bhattacharya, advisor of All Assam Students� Union (AASU) and president of Mising Agom Kebang, Dr Jawahar Jyoti Kuli, will attend the event as resource persons.

On forth day, the founder of Jharkhand Jungle Bachao Andolan, Sanjay Basu Mallik, will attend as chief guest. AASU advisor, Dr Samujjal Kr Bhattacharjya, and General Secretary of All Assam Tribal Sangha, Aditya Khaklari, will attend as distinguished guests.

Sukreswar Goyary, Deputy CEC of Mising Autonomous Council, along with EC of MAC, DC of Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, President of AASU, Dipankar Kumar Nath, among others will attend the event.
