SILCHAR, Nov 30 - In a shocking incident, at least five persons were left injured after unidentified miscreants fired at them.
According to sources, the incident took place at a place under Patherkandi constituency of Karimganj district on Saturday. Sajidul Haque, head of the family, which was being targeted by the miscreants said that while they were on the way to their relatives� place, some unknown people attempted to stop the car. However, when the driver tried to drive past them, the miscreants shot bullets which caused an accident as the car fell into a nearby pond, Haque said.
Soon the passers-by rushed to rescue the injured persons and sent them to nearby hospital for treatment.
