ITANAGAR, Sept 9 - A school teacher has been accused of sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl in a private-run residential school at Geku in Upper Siang district of Arunachal.
Upper Siang SP Doge Jini said that the shocking incident allegedly took place at Liitung Liimang Public School, Geku, apparently before this year�s Solung festival.
The accused teacher, identified as Vasudevan PN, who sustained critical injuries in a mob attack, has been admitted at District Hospital, Yingkiong before being referred to Pasighat General Hospital for further treatment.
The SP said that the incident came to light on Monday when the girl�s father asked her to get ready for her boarding school after the festival break but she refused to budge narrating her ordeal.
