Minister distributes Anundoram Borooah Awards

NAGAON, Jan 30 - Forest Minister Rakibul Hussain distributed the Anundoram Borooah Award among the meritorious students of Nagaon district on Friday.

Motivating the students, he said that to lead our life in the proper direction, we have to cultivate the habit of competition and also to love ourselves. He added that with positive thinking and self-confidence, our students will be able to establish themselves in the society and our State will be proud of them.

Hussain congratulated all the students who received the award. The present Government started this award from 2005, he added.

Delivering the welcome address, Nagaon DC Monalisa Goswami said that there is no alternative to education to lead the society in the path of development.

Nagaon MLA Dr Durlov Chamua and Nowgong College Principal Dr Sarat Borkotoki also addressed the gathering. Inspector of Schools Mridul Neog and other officials were present in the meeting.

Altogether 3,814 students of the district got the Anudoram Borooah Award and 3,112 students were selected for the Chief Minister�s Special Award.
