Mindset change must for cleanliness: Rihon

MUSHALPUR, April 11 - �For the success of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a positive change in the mindset of people towards cleanliness is more important than the number of sanitary latrines constructed,� said Rihon Daimary at a Swachh mela organised at Mushalpur by the Baksa Division of PHE on Monday.

He hailed the Baksa PHE officials for their success in constructing the highest number of low cost sanitary latrines in the State in record time but at the same time urged them to ensure the quality in construction as well as to create mass awareness on using them.

L Daimary, EM, PHE expressed concern over the fact that 269 water supply schemes were lying defunct in BTC out of which 48 are in Baksa and sought the attention of the minister towards early approval of the schemes proposed by BTC.
