GUWAHATI, Dec 26 - Renowned mime artiste Moinul Haque launched a mime journal Nirbaak in the presence of actor-director Himangshu Prasad Das, senior journalist Sushanta Talukdar and senior official of NHM Assam Pomi Barua at a programme held at the Guwahati Press Club here today.
The founder editor of the journal is mime artiste Minangka Deka, a student of Haque. Nirbaak is also said to be India�s first ever annual journal on mime.
�The journal will help in attracting people towards mime. The younger generation
from the region and around the world will be benefited from the journal,� Haque said.
The journal carries articles in both Assamese and English.
Deka said, �It is a dream come true for me. I dedicate the journal to the budding mime artistes who want to make it big in future.�
Deka has also been raising his voice over various social issues like COVID-19 and environment through mime acts. He has also contacted international mime artistes and collected various articles regarding mime from them.
