TURA, July 9 - The Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) suffered a body blow today with the killing of senior cadre and in-charge of the outfit�s media wing, Savio Ch Marak, in a police encounter in East Garo Hills.
Marak was killed in a police operation in Ringregre village near Rongsak, about 30 kms from Williamnagar. The encounter took place at around 4.30 am today when SWAT personnel raided a hideout where Marak was allegedly present along with five-six GNLA men.
