By Staff Correspondent

DIBRUGARH, Oct 1 - Miliki Baruah, mother of elusive ULFA (I) C-in-C Paresh Baruah, passed away at around 11.10 am today at her residence in Jeraigaon near Chabua town.

Miliki Baruah was suffering from old age ailments and was bedridden since the last couple of months. She was 87.

Several hundreds of people, including leaders of ULFAs pro-talk faction, political parties and social organisations rushed to the village to pay respect to the deceased.

Miliki had patiently waited to see the return of her son to the mainstream.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi had also announced earlier that the State government would allow Paresh Baruah, on humanitarian ground, to come and see his ailing mother. Several leaders of ULFAs pro-talk faction, like Jiten Dutta and Prabal Neog, were seen at the house of Paresh Baruahs mother today. Miliki Baruah was a mother of five sons and a daughter.
