Miles Bronson�s bust unveiled

NAGAON, Feb 25 � A bust of Miles Bronson was unveiled recently at the Mission Market by Dr Dilip Baruah, president of Nagaon Zila Sahitya Sabha. In his address, Dr Baruah observed that in 1826, Assam lost its independence and that was a remarkable event in its history but during the British rule, missionaries came to Assam and enriched the Assamese language and culture and Miles Bronson was one of them.

He appealed for the construction of a big statue of Bronson in Nagaon. Earlier, the secretary of the Assam Baptist Convention, Rajendra Kumar Roychoudhury explained the significance of the function. Pamath Kumar Dey discussed the life and works of Miles Bronson.
