Metro Sports Club emerge champions

GUWAHATI, April 28 - Metro Sports Club annexed the 3rd Golap Hazarika and Arati Hazarika T20 Cricket tournament title defeating host City Cricket Club (A) in an exciting final held at the Judges� field here, late on Wednesday. The fate of the match had to be decided in the super over after the match ended in a tie.

In the super over, City Cricket Club managed 12 runs losing one wicket while Metro Sports Club scored 14 runs without losing a wicket to lift the title.

Earlier, Metro Sports Club posted a competitive total of 154 for nine in their stipulated overs. Niraj Tiwari top scored for his side with 33 runs while Bikash Chetry scalped two wickets conceding 26 runs.

In reply, City Cricket batsmen put up 154 runs losing eight wickets in their stipulated overs.
