GUWAHATI, Jan 9 � An overall overcast sky has made the day temperature drop in the NE region today. The cloud cover has resulted in light rains also in some parts of the region. However, this weather condition is expected to undergo change within the next 48 hours, with the weakening of the western disturbance system.
The impact of the winter western disturbance system is leading to the present weather condition in the NE region, said H Pathak, Deputy Director General of Meteorology (DDGM) of the Regional Meteorology Centre (RMC) here. This western disturbance system has entered the NE region.
