Mercedes-Benz launches E-Class LWB with BS-VI complaint at Rs.57.5 lakh

Mercedes-Benz E-class sedan with BS6-complaint and a long wheelbase has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs.57.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Benz E-class LWB is available in two trim levels - Expression and Exclusive with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options.

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-class gets an updated engine with BS6-complaint inorder to meet the latest emission norms. The 2.0-litre petrol engine now delivers a better power output of 197hp which is around 13hp higher than the current model while the torque remains the same at 300Nm. Meanwhile, the power and torque figures of E-class diesel version remain unchanged at 194hp and 400Nm respectively. Transmission duties for both the engines are handled by a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

Mercedes-Benz offers the top-end Exclusive variants of the new E-class BS-VI with class-leading new tech and features including the twin 12.3-inch instrument cluster and infotainment displays, a 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system, wireless charging for rear passengers and a touchscreen in the rear-centre armrest to control the in-car functions.

Mercedes-Benz E-class LWB takes on the likes of Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and BMW 6 Series GT. Price details of 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-class are as follows.

(i) E-Class E 200 Expression - Rs.57.50 lakhs;

(ii) E-Class E 220d Expression - Rs.58.50 lakhs;

(iii) E-Class E 200 Exclusive - Rs.61.50 lakhs;

(iv) E-Class E 220d Exclusive - Rs.62.50 lakhs
