GUWAHATI, Feb 25 - Tributes will be paid to the memory of Maniram Dewan, the outstanding freedom fighter of the Sepoy Revolution of 1857, on the occasion of his 160th martyrdom tomorrow.
On the occasion, a memorial meeting will be held under the auspices of Swahid Maniram Dewan Trust at Kanaklal Baruah Bhawan, near Dighalipukhuri, at 3.30 pm tomorrow.
P Phukan will deliver a lecture on Dewan as the most outstanding freedom fighter of 1857 and the first industrial entrepreneur of India.
