SILAPATHAR, Nov 2 - The Takab Chandra Medok Memorial Award function was organised on Silapathar College premises on Monday.
The portrait of Takab Chandra Medok was garlanded by Debeswar Taye. It was followed by an open session which was presided over by Harakanta Pegu, president of the Takab Chandra Medok Memorial Trust.
Jonai MLA Bhuban Pegu attended the meeting and delivered a speech on Takab Chandra Medok. Bhuban Pegu dwelt at length on Takab Chandra Medok�s contribution and his dedication towards Jonai area.
The meeting was also attended by Padma Nath Pegu, founder Principal of Silapathar College; Lakhinath Pegu, Principal of Silapathar College; Hariprisad Mili, patron of Takab Chandra Medok Memorial Trust; Bhudindra Nath Baruah, retired Principal of Dhemaji College, among others.
Several meritorious students were also felicitated on the occasion.
