GUWAHATI, Jan 20 - The District Level Aadhaar Implementation Committee (DLAIC) of Kamrup (Metro) was held today in the office of Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman of DLAIC to discuss various issues, including smooth execution of the Aadhaar enrolment exercise in the district.
District Development Commissioner-cum-Member Secretary of DLAIC in Kamrup (Metro) Barnali Sharma, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Security) Dr Bedanta Madhab Rajkhowa, were also present at the meeting.
It was decided at the meeting that the Aadhaar enrolment exercise would be carried out in 42 places. Chairperson of DLAIC, Dr M Angamuthu, upheld the responsibility of the police administration in the enrolment process. He also emphasised holding awareness programmes regarding Aadhaar at the block and circle levels.
