GUWAHATI, Aug 10 - A two-day session on �Training and Monitoring Action Plan on Sustainable Development Goal-6� was organised here recently by the Water and Sanitation Support Organisation (WSSO), PHED, Assam and supported by UNICEF, Assam. The two-day programme focused on Sustainable Development Goal-6 by the year 2030, with emphasis on the provision of safe and adequate water for drinking, cooking and other domestic purposes for all households on a sustainable manner and provision of safe rural sanitation practices for all.
Apart from that, the training programme also dwelt on civil service rules and disciplinary appeal rule, coordination with media and civic bodies and issues related to disaster management among others.
The programme was attended by divisional engineers, superintending engineers and additional chief engineers of the PHE department and resource persons from NIC, UNICEF and senior officers from the finance department.
