GUWAHATI, April 7 � A State-level one-day convention on �Challenges of semester system at under-graduate (UG) level education)� would be held on April 21 at Gauhati University (GU) to address the issues pertaining to the existing semester system at UG level being in force in the State.
The proposed convention would seek to find out solutions to various problems being faced by the UG students as well as the colleges. The programme, organised by the GU, expects participation from all the stakeholders of higher education in the State including those who are associated with it. Intellectuals, academicians, representatives of student bodies�, and all concerned would take part in the programme. Aspirants are to register their names individually by April 20 to take part in the convention, a press release stated.
