Medical privilege cards

By STAFF REPORTER

GUWAHATI, June 1 - The city-based Narayana Super-specialty Hospital, in association with Guwahati Press Club (GPC), is going to offer Journalist Privilege Cards to its member-journalists. The recognised members of the Press Club will be given the health cards at a function at 2 pm on June 4 in the Press Club auditorium. The privilege card will enable the scribes to avail discounts on MRI, CT scan, X-ray, ultra sonography and various laboratory tests, besides priority in admission. The hospital has also planned annual health check-up facilities for the card holders along with their spouses.

On the other hand, free ambulance service is also under consideration, subject to availability, informed the authorities. The entire programme is designed so that the card holders can cut expenditures on medical treatment. The hospital authorities added that the facility would be extended to the scribes based in other parts of the region very soon.
