Media workers� union submits memo to CM

GUWAHATI, June 29 - A delegation of All Assam Media Workers Union today met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and handed a 7-point charter of demands to him.

The demands include post-retirement pension coverage for mediapersons, health coverage for media workers, implementation of Majithia Wage Board recommendations in all the media houses and ensuring housing facilities for all media workers.

Sudipta Sarkar, president and Upananda Das, general secretary of the Union were part of the delegation along with Dipak Bhuyan and Apurba Bhuyan from Niyomiya Barta, Dipak Kr Das from Dainik Janambhumi and Bijay Das from Amar Asam.
