GUWAHATI, Dec 22 - Media Management rode on Tanmoy Dey�s heroics with the ball (8 for 27) to outplay Media XI by 36 runs in the Topcem ASJA Inter Media T20 Cricket Tournament at the Judges� Field here today.
Put in to bat, Media Management scored 158 runs for the loss of six wickets in their stipulated overs. Amit Das top scored with 56 runs off 48 deliveries while Saurav Nath and Jagjit Singh contributed 16 runs each. For Media XI, Lakhya Gogoi took three wickets while Himanshu Anupam bagged two wickets.
In reply, Media XI were all out for 122 runs in 18 overs with Govinda Rajbongshi top scoring with 30 runs off 18 balls while Bhargav Sarma and Dwipen Gohain contributed 20 and 13 runs respectively. For Media Management, Tanmoy Dey was the pick of the bowlers with figures of eight wickets for 27 runs from his quota of 4 overs while Abhinash Thakuria and Jitumoni Medhi took one wicket each.
In another match, Barak Upatyaka Krira Sangbadik Sanstha (BUKSS) got the better of Prasar Bharati by 21 runs. Electing to bat, BUKSS scored 131 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 18 overs with Anupam Roy top scoring with 17 runs off 14 balls while Subrata Das and Satyajit Suklabaidya contributed 14 and 13 runs respectively. For Prasar Bharati, Biplab Das bagged four wickets for 18 runs while Manab Medhi took three wickets for 25 runs in 3 overs.
Chasing the target, Prasar Bharati scored 110 runs before being bowled out in 17.3 overs. Anuj Basfore top scored with a run-a-ball 20 while Gauranga Gogoi and Gautam Sarma contributed 19 and 14 runs respectively. Biman Sinha was the pick of the bowlers with a haul of three wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs while Shibananda Singh and Subroto Das picked up two wickets each.
