BARPETA, Feb 22 � The Manab Adhikar Sangram Samiti (MASS) has warned the BJP Government in the Centre to desist from anti-Assam activities and threatened of a vigorous movement if it continues for long.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Aditya Lahkar, secretary of the organisation, criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for advocating big dam on the plea that it is necessary for the interest of the people.
MASS made it clear that it will oppose any move to construct big dams in the region. Stating that the Centre is interested only in the resource of Assam, he accused the government of colonial attitude towards the State.
