Manipur shuttlers make clean sweep

GUWAHATI, Dec 26 - Manipur Press Club (MPC) made clean sweep in the Arobindo Buragohain Memorial Badminton Championship of the North East Media Sports Festival organised by the Assam Sports Journalists Association.

In the final of the men�s open event at the Hatigarh Indoor Stadium here today, Bikramjit Singh defeated his MPC compatriot Ibobi Singh 11-9, 11-5. Earlier, Ibobi beat Pranjal Sarma of News Live in the semifinal.

In the team event final MPC defeated Prag News. Bikramjit also completed the double crown winning open singles and team title.
