IMPHAL, Feb 3 � A total of 28,076 voters are eligible to excercise their franchise in re-poll at 34 polling stations under 11 Assembly constituencies in Manipur�s five hill districts tomorrow.
An official of the State Election office here said today that the Election authority has taken up necessary arrangement for smooth conduct of repoll at all the polling stations. �In order to avoid any unwanted incident, the Election Commission has instructed to frisk voters, if necessary, during the re-poll,� the official added.
All the polling stations have been categorised as hyper-sensitive and two sections of Central para-military forces have been deployed in each polling stations. Thirteen other companies will be deployed in the areas where the EVMs are to be kept. Airlifting of EVMs and polling personnel have been arranged after the voting is over, sources added.
