Manipur Guv stresses for land, air connectivity

IMPHAL, Sept 22 - Manipur Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has stressed for priority to development of land and air connectivity in the State. Interacting with representatives of Editors� Guild of Manipur (EGM) at Raj Bhavan here yesterday, the Governor also highlighted the need for improvement of health and tourism sectors.

Dr Heptulla said she went to New Delhi three days after she was sworn in as Governor, during which the Prime Minister, Union Communication Minister and other concerned Ministers were apprised of the above proposals.

�Besides the rich cultural heritage and sports, there are many other fields that can be leveraged in Manipur. Towards that end, the government is planning to set up separate advisory committees,� she said. The Manipur Governor mulled over the possibility of lifting the ban on entry of people in the Raj Bhavan complex.
