IMPHAL, Oct 31 � Manipur Governor, Chief Minister and Speaker today greeted the people on the joyous occasion of Kut festival which will be celebrated across the State tomorrow.

Governor Dr KK Paul in his message said, �Kut is a post-harvest festival and is celebrated with gaiety as a thanks giving to the almighty for a bountiful harvest.� It symbolises peace, harmony and unity rising above the barriers of caste, creed and religion.

�I hope the spirit of Kut will spread the message of oneness, strengthening the social fabric more than ever and bring prosperity to all the communities in the State,� said the Governor in his message.

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh greeted the people especially the Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethren on the occasion of Kut festival.
