Manipur football tourney

IMPHAL, Jan 9 � Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) blanked Barekuri Regional Sports Association (BRSA) Tinsukia and storm into the semifinals of the State�s biggest football championship�58th Sir Churachand Singh, KCSI, CBE Memorial Tootball Tournament (CC Meet) today. In the third quarterfinal match of the ongoing CC Meet tournament today MPSC defeated BRSA, Tinsukia 7-0. MPSC will meet the winner of the tomorrow�s quarterfinal match between of TRAU Tiddim Road and SSB West Bengal.

Th Kiran of MPSC netted three goal in the 7th, 62nd and 82nd minutes respectively while Golmei, who won the man-of-the-match trophy, shared two goals each for his team with Kanta. In other semi final ARC, Shillong will meet TRUGPU, Nambol.
