Manipur CM attends to public grievances

IMPHAL, Feb 23 - Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh listened to around 412 complaints and met nearly 1,200 people during the joint �Meey-amgi Numit�(People�s Day) and Hill Leaders� Day held at the Durbar Hall of the Chief Minister�s Secretariat here today.

The joint programme has been organised every month by the State Government since May 2017 to hear public grievances. A large number of people from both the hill and valley districts of the State arrived at the Chief Minister�s official bungalow to air their grievances, DIPR sources said.

Officials of different government departments were present at the Chief Minister�s Secretariat complex to resolve the grievances.

Many differently-abled persons, widows and people belonging to poor families were enrolled under government schemes such as the �Chief Minister-gi Hakshel-gi Tengbang�, a popular health scheme, and the �Chief Minister-gi Sotharabashing-gi Tengbang�, another welfare scheme. Several educated and skilled youths were also identified for provision of soft loans from banks.
